Finding suitable accommodation is an important part of student life. We want you to be comfortable, safe and happy during your stay, and we can help you look for the right place.
Speak Up London has an Accommodation Officer who is committed to making your experience enjoyable and problem-free. We work with our partner agencies (which are registered with the British Council) to provide you with the best options according to your needs and budget.
If you need any help, our Accommodation Officer is available during office hours. Hosts will treat the student as a member of the household, eating together and sharing the common living areas. Maximum four students will be accommodated in a single home-stay accommodation at any one time. Maximum 2 students will be accommodated in the same bedroom unless specifically requested in writing. Students with the same first language will not be lodged in the same home at the same time unless written consent is obtained.
London has always been famed for its hospitality to visitors and a homestay is one of the best ways to experience this first-hand. Students find staying with an English speaking home a very rewarding experience as it offers them a unique insight into English culture and provides the perfect opportunity to improve their English language skills by practicing it in a natural everyday context.
Our homestay provider agencies are registered with the British Council.
At Speak Up London we do our best to ensure that your accommodation is of the highest standard and conforms to British Council regulations. We offer a variety of options depending on your requirements and budget.
When you book your homestay with the school, you will be given several options to choose from depending on the season and availability. We do our best to place students on direct transport routes, such as buses that stop directly outside the School. We send their profiles to you and let you choose the one you like best. The profile includes pictures of the rooms, details about where the nearest station is and much more. Once you are happy with your British home, we confirm the booking and send you all the details you need about getting to and from school. We want our students to be happy and hope that you will like the accommodation we have arranged for you. Our Welfare Officer is available throughout the day and is on hand to help with any queries that students may have. All students are given an emergency number so that they can contact the school or the homestay at any time.
