You must be at least 8 years old to take individual lessons at Speak Up London. Please note that strict safeguarding rules apply when the student is under 18. Please refer to our Safeguarding Policy for more information.

You will receive access to an online document, where your teacher will regularly include lesson content and present a plan for your learning journey -you will be reviewing your goals together every 4-6 weeks, depending on your booking.

It was a wonderful, but very intense, time. I chose a very intensive course option - morning and afternoon lessons (6 hours a day). The Speak Up London School is really very good. I had great teachers - Alex (morning group) and Gary Dixon (afternoon group). I have to say Gary is the best language teacher I have ever had.
I was aware of my expectations towards the language school.
However, I did not expect this intense time to be such a unique experience. Paradoxically, it is not just about linguistic progress. This one is important, but not crucial. Relationships are more important. The greatest value for me is always meeting other people, especially those coming from the other side of the world, telling me about their world and curious about my world. Without prejudice and with respect. Yes, people undoubtedly turned out to be the greatest value of this school. By getting to know them, I get to know myself even better.
Best regards to the entire Speak Up London community. I will definitely come back to you! 🙂

To był cudowny, choć bardzo intensywny czas. Wybrałem bardzo intensywną opcję kursu - lekcje poranne i popołudniowe (6 godzin dziennie). Szkoła Speak Up London jest naprawdę bardzo dobra. Miałem wspaniałych nauczycieli - Alex (poranna grupa) i Gary Dixon (grupa popołudniowa). Muszę powiedzieć, że Gary jest najlepszym nauczycielem języka, jakiego kiedykolwiek miałem.
Byłem świadomy moich oczekiwać wobec szkoły językowej. Świadomie też wybrałem szkołę z nie najniższej półki. Nie na wszystkim bowiem można i powinno się oszczędzać.
Nie spodziewałem się jednak, że ten intensywny czas będzie aż tak wyjątkowym doświadczeniem. Paradoksalnie nie chodzi tu li tylko o progres językowy. Ten jest ważny, ale nie kluczowy. Ważniejsze są relacje. Największą wartością dla mnie jest zawsze spotkanie z drugim człowiekiem, zwłaszcza przybywającym z drugiego krańca świata, opowiadającym mi o swoim świecie i ciekawym mojego świata. Bez uprzedzeń i z szacunkiem. Tak, niewątpliwie największą wartością tej szkoły okazali się ludzie. Poznając ich, jeszcze lepiej poznaję siebie.

I was preparing for IETS exam here. As a result, my total score was 7.5: 8.5 for Reading, 8.0 for Listening, and 7.0 for Writing and Speaking. This is a solid mark. According to google, it's even enough to officially become a [medical] doctor in UK... So I decided to go for PhD in Britain (also a doctor in some sense) after finishing my master's. It's a great school overall.

I admire my teacher Gareth who can easily communicate with each student and pay attention to the needs of the students. I took part in two different courses in this School, firstly the General English and secondly the IELTS preparation. It was about 6 months in total.I will point out why it was a worthy experience:1. It is value for money. One of the best prices in city;2. SpeakUp offers a lots of benefits for free, including communication classes, cultural agenda, events at school, etc.3. My teachers were: Steph, Sonia and Yota. All of them very well prepared to teach with dynamics methodology and valuable content in their classes;4. The reception staffs were always resolutive and efficient;5. The school has a flexible approach with periods of gap to travel;6. Very well conected, as it is in the heart of the city;As I am no longer studying there, so I can not say in regards to COVID-19 precautions. However, I've seen that they are following closely the government rules.Definitely, I would highly recommend this school for friends.

I had many good experiences and made many friends. I had very good teacher and day to day I got more confidence.When I arrived I was really shy and do not speak so much but when you visit for 2 month the school you do really well. What I can say about Speak Up London?I am a big fan of this school.The secretaries are very attentive and patient.The teachers also very attentive and patient.I had three teachers there: Michael who was my teacher in upper intermediate level, he is a little bit fast, but for me was a good thing because my English also improved very fast.After that in Advanced level my teacher was Greg also a great teacher.My last teacher there was Frits, I know his name it’s like Dutch or German but he is British...long story.He was a great surprise, his lessons are more speaking than grammar what for me it’s perfect in advanced level.

First of all thank you to speak up london and my teacher Adam for getting me back into the passion of studying a foreign language.Personally I can only recommend this school, the teachers are great and I‘m sure you will make a progress while you there, the location could not be better and the social program offers something for everyone and is reasonable priced and somethimes even free !I started in the C1 (advance) class and first it was challenging but I want to encourage you to try and don‘t get disheartened if it seems to complicated at the first view.Hope you enjoy your stay at Speak up and make a lot of new friends and learn something for a lifetime! 😊

I was one of the happiest students in the Speak Up London. Because they did their best to help me to improve my English. I’ve started with General English at lower-intermediate level and after 4 months I was advance. Then I moved to IELTS class. I needed to get 6,5/9 to be able to start my masters and I did in 3 months with those amazing teachers help. Also, I think I have to mention receptionists who always treated me well. They were very friendly and solved all my problems.If you compare it to other schools in terms of price and efficiency, this is the best one you can choose.In a nutshell, don’t even think twice. A friend of mine recommended Speak Up and now I can say she was right! The most valuables teachers will prepare you for a real English environment, whether you want to improve your general English or prepare for a Cambridge exam. In my personal case, I was prepared by the teachers for the First certificate Exam which I succeeded to pass. In just two months they show me all I needed of grammar, writing, reading, speaking and listening.In addition to the quality of the teachers, they also organize different activities such as one day trip, museum tours and drinks in some pub with all students. Therefore, it is also an opportunity to meet people from all over the world.I would highly recommend going to Speak Up London if your main goal is to improve your English for a reasonable price and also you are looking for meeting people from all over the world!

This is the schoold I attended when I was in London for 6 month and I can say for sure that is the best! It has very qualified teachers and it is in Oxford street, so it's super easy to reach it! Wvery week the school organizes events or trips where you can go and it gets discount on fees very often. After the two month IELTS preparation at SUL I get overall band 7.0! The IELTS course has developed my strategy and time menagament, with stress on reading! Es una escuela excelente, con un profesorado buenísimo. La metodología depende de cada profesor pero tienen en común que todos promueven el diálogo entre alumnos para soltarse hablando. Te dan todas las facilidades para cambiar de profesor y/o nivel, organizan salidas para los alumnos, en el mes de Agosto organizaron una salida a Hyde Park con profesorado incluido. Yo sólo puedo decir cosas buenas de la escuela, aunque es verdad que la situación tan céntrica tiene un precio y es que las clases son, en ocasiones, son muy pequeñas y el ruido de la calle, en verano con las ventanas abiertas, molesta un poco. Por lo demás, un 10.

Chris i Greg super prowadzą zajęcia- bardzo dużo praktycznych wskazówek i robienia testów- co jest niezbędne do zdania tego egzaminu!Praktyki realizowałam w dziale finansów, gdzie bezpośrednio podlegałam dyrektorowi. I want to say thank you for every staffs and teachers for my time in Speak Up.
I spent 3 month at the school, I improved my English a lot, I made a friends and I pass a wonderful time at school and in London.
The teachers is attentive, friendly, polite and helpfully. And the lesson is very clear and great explained. If you have question about lesson they explain even after class is over. The staff as well. They always available to help you. And the school events is also good too. Speaking class, after the lesson class also help me to improved and understood a little more. The school is in a good place, in especially for the students because you have access to everywhere of London. I miss very much.
I still make some mistake, but I improved a lot in compare when I arrived in London. One more time, thank you for everything. I really, really recommended. For me Speak Up is the best!!

I love studying in this school for many reasons. Firstly, the price is affordable, the quality of teaching is very good and it's located in the center of London. Secondly, the staff, from receptionists to teachers, are very friendly, supportive and professional. It is thanks to them that I'm attending the right English programme for my professional needs. i would say that this is one of the best English school for several reasons. Firstly, teachers as well as employees are willing to help in any situation and they are also able to speak various languages in order to help everyone. Secondly, the school is situated in the centre of London and therefore i do not have to explain the many advantages of that. Thirdly, the school offer different level of courses and it is well organised from various point of view. Finally, from my personal experience, i have to say that thanks to this school i have improved my english quickly and properly. I started from the second level and i reached the higher in roughly 6 week. Teachers have also helped me with advice and tips and eventually I got my IELTS exam that allows me to enroll for a master course.
