Finding the right accommodation in London is an important part of student life, and this is why we are happy to help you arrange the right place for you. We have an accommodation officer committed to making your experience enjoyable and problem-free. We work in partnership with several different agencies, which are registered with the British Council, to provide you with the most suitable options according to your needs and budget. Locations are carefully checked to ensure that you will be comfortable, safe and happy during your stay.
Our accommodation officer is available during office hours should you need any help while you are with us.
Hosts will treat the student as a full member of the household, eating together and sharing the common living areas. No more than four students will be accommodated in a single home-stay accommodation at any one time. No more than 2 students will be accomodated in the same bedroom unless specifically requested in writing. Students with the same first language will not be lodged in the same home at the same time unless written consent is obtained.
London has always been famed for its hospitality to visitors and staying with a homestay is one of the best ways to experience this first-hand. Students find staying with an English speaking home a very rewarding experience as it offers them a unique insight into English culture and provides the perfect opportunity to improve their English language skills by practicing it in a natural everyday context.
Our homestay provider agencies are registered with the British Council so students can expect the highest quality from each family.
At Speak Up London we do our best to ensure that your accommodation is of the highest standard and conforms to the British Council regulations. We offer a variety of options depending on your requirements and budget.
We do our best to place students on direct transport routes, such as buses that stop directly outside the School. London is a huge city and sometimes there are delays on the public transport system. When you book your homestay with the school, you will be given several options to choose from depending on the season and availability. We send their profiles to you and let you choose the one you like best. The profile includes pictures of the rooms, details about where the nearest station is and much more. Once you are happy with your british home, we confirm the booking and send you all the details you need about getting to and from the school. We want our students to be happy and hope that they will like the accommodation we have arranged for them. Our Welfare Officer is available throughout the day and is on hand to help with any queries that students may have. All students are given emergency numbers so that they can contact the school or the homestay at any time.
If you would prefer to book your own accommodation, we recommend you use one of our trusted partners in London and check out the accommodation they offer.
