All accommodation is subject to availability and early booking is advisable.
There is a £50 booking fee per person, for every booking.
Bookings are only guaranteed after full payment (including the administration fee) has reached Speak Up London’s bank account.
All bookings must be for 2 weeks minimum. A shorter stay may be possible upon request and for a minimum of 1 week. The Bronze offer is subject to a 3 week minimum stay.
Smoking in homestays: Many British hosts object to smoking in their house particularly if they have children. It is therefore becoming increasingly difficult to place students who smoke in homestays. If you are happy to smoke outside your host’s home, please specify it on the accommodation application form.
Pets in homestays: Many British homestays have pets (mostly cats or dogs). It may be difficult for our Accommodation Officers to find a homestay without pets. Please, complete the specific section of the accommodation application form ONLY if you have a strong dislike or allergy to animals (either cats or dogs).
Special requirements: We will do our very best to deal with your special requests but we cannot guarantee we will match all of them. Please specify which is your priority among all your special requests and we will do our best to satisfy it. It takes more time to deal with special requests, so please send your booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment. In case the solution requested is not available, we will try to find a similar solution.
We don’t have rooms with a private bathroom in zone 1 and we have a limited number of homestay en-suite/private
bathroom in zone 2 (Gold offer). An early booking is advisable (at least 3 or 4 weeks before your estimated check in).
Arriving at your homestay: please contact your host to communicate your arrival details at least one week before your
arrival. If you fail to do this, your host may not be at home to welcome you.
Arriving at other accommodation solutions (residence, flat share) please contact us at least one week before your arrival
to communicate to us your arrival details.
